As the treatment is free of charge people are encouraged to bring sick and injured animals they find to the hospital.
Much suffering has been prevented since the hospital opened.
The hospital opened in November 2022 and has been constantly busy ever since. Every day bring new cases of cats or dogs hit by cars. Cats with dog bites and sometimes animals are the victims of deliberate abuse.
The Huraira team have carried out some remarkable, sometimes dangerous rescues.
One situation involved lowering one of the team from the sixth floor of a building to rescue a cat trapped on the balcony below.
In another case a puppy they rescued a puppy that had fallen into a deep pipe.
